WLF Books – How We Started

Before we became WLF Books, we ran a small test on TikTok.

We wanted to know one thing: does this market actually need better books?

The answer came back fast — and it was clear: yes.

The first book we tested? We didn't treat it like a traditional launch. We treated it like a content experiment — testing hooks, refining delivery, and watching closely to see what actually stopped the scroll.

That book became our first TikTok bestseller.

Not because of a big budget. Not because of a famous name. But because we spent time reading the comments.

We paid attention to what readers were actually asking, where they felt stuck, and what they really wanted. Then we shaped our content around that.

We just listened a little more carefully than most.

Soon after, the responses started coming in — not just likes, but real conversations.

Readers told us they didn't just find useful advice — they found themselves in the pages. Thoughts they'd never put into words. Questions they'd carried for years. One person said they highlighted half the book and texted a friend: "This one's for you."

Creators told us they picked it up as a collaboration, but ended up reading it in one sitting. They couldn't stop talking about it on camera — and neither could their comment sections. A few said it was the least like work they'd ever done. Others said they'd already recommended it to everyone they knew.

We didn't ask for those messages. They came on their own — and they kept coming.

That feedback clarified something important:

We don't get to decide what good content is. Our readers do.

All we can do is show up with what they're looking for, in a way that actually lands.

That's why FY Books became WLF Books — Wise Life Friends.

Not a sentimental rebrand — a strategic one.

We're not just a publisher that picks good books. We're a publisher that pays attention to what readers actually care about. We listen. We adapt. We focus on bringing the right books to the right people.

We're still a Denver-based publisher, focused on personal development, emotional intelligence, and children's learning. But we're also a team that knows how to create, market, and sell.

WLF Books — we know books. We know readers. And we know how to connect the two.
